Cicero M. BURT, son of Zacheus BURT and Mary Ann BILLINGSLEY, was born circa 1835 in Autauga County, Alabama.1
Cicero M. BURT appeared on a census, enumerated 31 October 1850, in the household of his parents Zacheus BURT and Mary Ann BILLINGSLEY in Lowndes County, Mississippi. Cicero Burt was recorded as a 16-year-old planter born in Alabama.1
Cicero married Martha Ellen Parr circa 1854. She was the daughter of John Parr, Jr. and Susan Johnston.2
Cicero M. BURT appeared as head of household on a census enumerated 12 July 1860 in Seminary post office, Smackover, Ouachita County, Arkansas. The household was listed as Cicero Burt, a 22 year old farmer, born in Alabama; Martha Burt, his 21 year old wife, born in Tennessee; William T., son, age 3, born Arkansas; and Roxana, daughter, age 1, born Arkansas. Living next door was Marha's mother, Mrs. Susan Parr, age 56, born in Kentucky.
Cicero began military service on 26 April 1862 in Monroe, Louisiana, for a term of 3 years as a private in Company F, 19th (Dockery's) Arkansas Infantry, CSA. His records show he died May 30th at Rienza. He was listed as Cicero M. Burt, age 27, born in Autauga county, Alabama. He was described as having grey eyes, light hair, fair complexion, and 5' 11" in height.
