     Light Townsend ABNEY, son of Zachariah ABNEY and Tabitha TOWNSEND, was born on 18 February 1826 in Edgefield District, South Carolina.1

Light Townsend ABNEY died on 1 May 1851 in Saluda County, South Carolina, at age 25.1,2 He was buried in Zachariah Abney Cemetery.3
