On a list dated Hdqrs., Allen's Brig., Shreveport, Louisiana, 29 Mar 1864, he was reported in camp for exchange, at Natchitoches, Louisiana, before 1 Apr 1864. He was captured 12 Feb 1865, at Gaines Landing and sent to Vicksburg, for exchange, March 12, 1865, from Memphis, Tennessee. At the end of the war he was paroled at Monroe, Louisiana, 9 Jun 1865.5
