     James Linn YEAGER, son of George Wesley YEAGER and Mary "Polly" LINN, was born on 30 March 1839 in Bibb County, Alabama.

James Linn YEAGER appeared on a census, enumerated 25 October 1850, in the household of his parents George Wesley YEAGER and Mary "Polly" LINN in West side Cahaba River, Bibb County, Alabama. He was recorded as James L. Yeager, 10, born Alabama.1

James married Nancy Addeline DEASON on 1 October 1860 in Bibb County, Alabama.2

James began military service at age 22 on 18 February 1862 in Scottsville, Bibb County, Alabama, Served as private, Co. C, 1st Battalion Alabama Artillery. James was captured at Fort Morgan on 23 August 1864, and sent to Elmira, New York, Union Prison. He was released from prison on 16 June 1865.

James Linn YEAGER died on 7 March 1925 in Bibb County, Alabama, at age 85.3 He was buried in Little Hope Church Cemetery.
