     Andrew Jackson GERMAN was born in November 1837 in Fayette County, Georgia.

Andrew began military service in 1863 in Coosa County, Alabama, in the 12th Alabama Infantry.

Andrew married Lydia Ann BURT, daughter of Stephen Richard BURT and Catherine BILLINGSLEY, on 22 August 1865 in Coosa County, Alabama. The ceremony was preformed by W. B. Calloway, J.P.1
