WISHART, Alexander
, son of the late John Wishart, was b. In 1834. He settled in
Garafraxa Tp., lot 1, con. 5, in 1850. Mr. Wishart started in life with
nothing, cleared his farm and became a prosperous and influential citizen. He
was a consistent member of the Pres. Church, and was an Elder for many years.
He m. Ann Campbell. They had nine children, six of whom are living in the
county of Wellington, vis: Eliza, on the homestead; Mrs. Wm. Martin, near
Belwood; William , on lot 8, con. 4, Eramosa, which he owns; Malcolm, on the
homestead, Garafraxa; Cassie, Bella and Mary.
