UDY, John. The late John Hick Udy was b. in Cornwall, Eng., in 1826. He was a well-to-do man of good family. The farm that he occupied was named "Trevellen." He was a Methodist and in politics a Liberal. He m. Eliza Strutridge, who came to Canada in 1873, and set. on lot 8, con. 12, Peel, where she is still living at the age of 79. Mr. Udy d. in Eng. in 1864. Issue: Hart, Henry, Millicent, Guy (d.), Regina, (d.), William S. Nanny, Kate and Arthur. Hart purchased 100 acres of land on lot 8, con. 13, of Peel, where he now lives. He is a practical farmer and has fine stock. His religious connection is the English church, and politically he is a Liberal. He m. Annie Hicks and their children are: Regina, Katie, Annie, Minnie, William, Leslie, and Nellie, all at home.

Henry has a fine fruit farm in Australia, and has one daughter, Eliza.

Millicent, m. Thos. Mufford, a farmer in British Columbia.

Regina (d.), m. Henry Jackson, of Peel; William S., m. Margaret James, and is a farmer in British Columbia. Nanny, m. Daniel S. Hambly, and set. in Drayton.

Kate, m. Alfred S. Stevens, of Peel Tp.

Arthur, m. Jane Coates and resided on lot 8, con. 12, Peel. Issue: Florence, Harvey, Lloyd, Guy, Howard, Gladys, Clarence and Lewlias.
