SCHULTZ, Christopher (d.), b. Mecklenburg, Germany; d. 1883, age 82. He served in the German Army for three years, and in 1856 came to Canada with his wife and family, settling in Morriston. He was an Evangelical in church affiliations, and a Conservative politically. Issue: Frederick, Morriston; Mrs. Walter, Preston; Frank, Beverly; Mrs. Natnay, Mich.; Mrs. Matthew Winer, Huron Co.; Jacob (d.), Mrs. Ebbert, Hanover; and Mrs. Geyhart, Muskoka.

Frederick, with his wife and two children, left Germany in 1852. He was two years in Preston and in 1854 came to Puslinch, settling in Morriston. He was a mason by trade. Later he purchased lot 30, front con. 7, from Andrew Stahl. He farmed there for ten years, working also at his trade, and sold his farm to his son, who later, in 181, sold to Donald McMillan, since which he has lived in Morriston. He is an Evangelical and a Conservative. He m. Mary Fram in Germany. Issue: Charles, Mich.; Frederick, who is the representative of the Deering Co. at Morriston; John, Toronto; Christopher, Postmaster at Hespeler; Henry, Mich.; William, Toronto, and Mrs. Peppler, Mich.

Jacob, b. in Germany, d. 1899, age 63. He lived on the Brock road for a number of years, and later moved to the McKenzie farm in the Gore of Puslinch; then to lots 31 and 32 of the Gore, where he d. He was a member of the Evangelical church and a Conservative. He was School Trustee of No. 8, for a number of years. He m. Sophia Crews. Issue: William H.; Jacob C., Mich.; Mrs. Frank Kistenmacher, Morriston, and Mrs. Christian Morelock, Morriston. William H., owns and operates the homestead of 170 acres, and carries on mixed farming. He is an Evangelical and a Conservative in politics. Mr. Schultz takes a strong interest in political matters, and is a member of the Puslinch Conservative Committee. He has been Trustee of S.S. No. 8, for nine years, and is now serving his fourth term. He m. Frederica Barth. Issue: Chester W., Irene M., and George F.
