ROBERTSON, Duncan , (d.), was b. on Lord Breadalbane's Estate, Perthshire, Scot., in 1811, and d. 1897, age 86. He came to Canada in 1818 with his father John Robertson, and set. in Esquesing. In 1832 he came to Erin and set. on the 270 acres, lots 12 and 13, con. 1. He was a member of the Disciples church, a Liberal, and was very successful, and much respected. In 1834 he m. Mary Ferguson, who d. 1886, age 75. Issue: Mrs. Grace Nelson, Everton; Catharine, John (d. 20), Dugald, James, U.S.; Duncan, Oakville; Sarah (d.), David, Mrs. Joseph Hindley and Mrs. Horace Tovell.

Dugald, b. 1841, when 17 years of age, met with an accident, on account of which he taught school for nine years. He attended the Rockwood Academy one year. In 1875 he se. on lot 13, con. 1, where he has since resided and carries on mixed farming. His first wife was Agnes McCrome, and later he m. Catharine McPhail. Issue: Maggie, Albert, Mary, Annie, Willie and Eda.

David was b. 1848, on the homestead where he has always resided, and which he now owns. He is a member of the Disciples church and a Liberal in politics. He m. Eliza Loree. Issue: Mrs. John Aikens, Mallie, George and Edna.
