PATTERSON, William
(d.), was b. in Glasgow, Scot., in 1823,; d. 1899. He came, when a young man,
to Canada, settling first in Hamilton, where he was employed in the mercantile
business. He came soon after to Fergus, and opened a general store, which he
carried on until his death. He also, in the early days, operated a distillery,
under the firm name of Patterson & Kerhin.
