O'SULLIVAN, Samuel (d.), was b. in Co. Kerry, Ire., and d. in that country in 1841. He m. Margaret Lahey, who d. in 1877. Issue: Mrs. Patrick Murphy, d. in Ireland; Mrs. John Sugrue, Mrs. William Hayes, and Mrs. Robert Cantlon, set. in Arthur; Patrick (d.),; Daniel (d.), and Timothy.

Timothy was b. in Ireland, came to Canada with his mother when eleven years old. His mother took up land in Arthur, and m. for her second husband, James Cantlon. In 1866, Mr. O'Sullivan m. Alice Moran, and shortly after, bought 100 acres of land, lot 3, con. 7, Nichol. He afterwards purchased 100 acres in Pilkington, and later 100 adjoining his first purchase. He has since given the Pilkington farm to his son Joseph. He is engaged in mixed farming and feeds cattle for export, feeding practically everything that is grown on the place. He is progressive in his methods, and very successful, and is a first-class citizen. He is a Roman Catholic, and a Conservative, and has been Trustee of the separate school for some years. Issue: Mrs. James Cushing, set, in Nichol; Mrs. Michael Walsh, set. in Guelph Tp.; Alice in Buffalo; Nellie, at home; Joseph m. Mary Sweeny, of Arthur, and set. in Pilkington; John, unm., lives at home, and Francis, unm., is in Hamilton.
