MUNFORD, Samuel , of Maryborough Tp., is a son of the late Thomas Munford, who was b. in Yorkshire, Eng., in 1813, and d. in 1896. He was b. in Eng., in 1847, and m. Susanna Dennis. Issue: Samuel, Jr., and Rhoda. In 1885, the family came to Canada and set. in Bowmanville, where they resided until 1895, when they came to Maryborough Tp., and actively engaged in farming. A few yeas later, they purchased 100 acres, lot 13, con. 6, where they have since resided. While they carry on mixed farming, they make a specialty of breeding and raising fine stock, both horses and cattle. They are progressive and enterprising farmers. In religion are members of the Methodist church, and in politics, Conservatives.
