MORRISON, John , was b. in Leeds Co., in 1847. His father, the late James Morrison, was b. in Ireland, and came to Leeds Co. about 1830, and lived there until his death in 1897, age 75 years.

John Morrison was raised in Leeds Co., and there m. Mary Ann Morrison, and they came to Minto in 1876, where he purchased lot 20, con. 12, and has since lived there. He has never held any municipal office, but he takes an active interest in political affairs, being a strong Conservative. The family are Methodists. He is fond of reading, and is well posted on the current events of the day. Issue: Mrs. George Kerr, Mrs. John Hart, George, and John. Of this family, George, owns and lives on lot 21 , con. 12, where he carried on mixed farming. He m. Mary Ingall. John works the home farm, in conjunction with his father.
