MORLEY, George (d.), was b. in Yorkshire, Eng., in 1821, and came to Canada in 1842. He set. in Nichol in 1843, and later in Acton, Rockwood, and Guelph. He was a tailor by trade, and the only man in this line in Rockwood, then called "Brotherstown", for years. He also owned 50 acres of land , con. 4, Eramosa, purchased of the late John Fletcher. He m. Jane Carter. Issue: John G., who m. Emma George. He owns the farm left by his father, and is an enterprising citizen of the township.
