McQUEEN, James , is a son of James McQueen, Sr., of Dumfries, Scot., where the subject of this sketch was b. and raised. In 1885, he came to Canada and to Eramosa Tp., and later acquired his present farm of 178 acres, con. 1, Eramoso, where he resides and carries on mixed farming. Mr. McQueen's success in life has been due entirely to his own efforts, and he occupies a respected position in the community. He m. Mary Beattie. Issue: Maggie, Jinnie, George, Ella, and Ollie. The family are members of the Presbyterian Church.
