McPHERSON, Angus (d.), was a native of Badenoch, Invernessshire, Scot., where he m. Catharine McRae. In 1844 , with his Wife and family, he came to Canada, in company with James Martin, Duncan McDonald, Angus McDonald, James Cameron, and John McLean. Mr. McPherson bought 90 acres, front of lot 24, Gore of Puslinch, and there set. and lived the remainder of his life. In 1847, he was appointed Elder of Knox Church, West Puslinch, and from that time was known as "Elder McPherson." He was a Liberal in politics, but never aspired to office, either political or municipal. The family, who were all b. in Scot., consisted of, Donald, Mrs. Kenneth Campbell, Hamilton; James, Puslinch Tp.; Mrs. Alex. McBain, Mich.; Ann, unm., Hamilton; Kenneth (d.), in Montana; Mrs. James McDonald, Crieff; Mrs. David Phillips, Hamilton, and John E. (d.), who succeeded to the homestead.
