McLELLAN, Richard , the youngest son of the late Richard McLellan, owns and occupies the late homestead of his father, which he bought from the executors of the estate in 1906, and with other land which he has bought, owns 350 acres, lots 21 and 22, cons. 4 and 5, West Garafraxa. Mr. McLellan, is one of the foremost stock breeders of the county, making a specialty of thoroughbred Clydesdales, imported shires, standard roadsters Shorthorn and Durham cattle, and has always four or five thoroughbred bulls on hand, also Yorkshire hogs. He owns the celebrated Clydesdale stallion "Royal Sensation," whose sire, "Lyon McGregor," won a sweepstake prize against the world at the World’s Fair, in Chicago. Mr. McLellan is a member of the Farmer’s Institute. In politics he is a Conservative. He m. Charity Dingman, of Luther, dau. of the first settler of Erin Tp.
