The 3rd paragraph states that "David Jr., m. first Margaret Osborne." This contains 2 errors (incorrect given name, and surname spelling) -- her name was Mary OSBURN. She was Margaret OSBURN's older sister. Proof of this is in their son George's marriage registration in which is says his parents were David & Mary McKersie.
Margaret OSBURN married Conrad John HOTRUM on 23 Dec 1842 in Eramosa, Wellington County, by circuit rider Rev. W.P. Wastell, a Congregational Minister of Guelph. This marriage is recorded in 'The Marriage Registers of Upper Canada/Canada West', Vol. 9, Part 1, Wellington District 1840-1852, Page 16.
This error has also got carried into the Riverside Women's Institute records - page 147.
