McDONALD, Donald , (d.) b. parish of Laggan, Badenoch, Inverness-shire, Scot., d. in Scot. He m. Mary McPherson. Issue: Alexander (d.); Angus, Mrs. John N. Smith, Concession 10, Puslinch Tp.; Allan, and John.

The widow of the late Donald McDonald, came to Canada with her family, about 1872. Alexander kept store at Corwhin, and was named Postmaster in the petition for the office, but died three days before the papers came.

Allan, owns rear Lot 31, Concession 10, 100 acres. John, owns rear Lot 32, Concession 10, 100 acres. Angus, bought Lot 37, rear, Concession 10, 100 acres, and in 1904, purchased 38 rear, Concession 10, Lots 37 and 38, Concession 11, making 189 acres. He never sought or held municipal office; is an industrious and enterprising man, a Presbyterian, and a Liberal. He carries on mixed farming. He m. Mary Anderson. Issue: Donald, Thomas, Rebecca, and Mary.
