LAMB, George (d.), b. Roxburghshire, Scot., 1789; d. 1852. He m. Janet Murray, who d. 1852, age 63. They came to Canada in 1848, and set. in Nassagaweya, where Mr. Lamb died eighteen months after coming to Canada. Issue: John, Walter, Gideon, Robert, and Mrs. John Henderson. Walter m. Janet McNair, set in Puslinch Tp., Issue: George, John, Dougal, Mrs. Peter McLean, John, Donald and Gideon. Gideon m. Ann Campbell, set. Gore of Puslinch. Issue: George, John, Lizzie, Jennie and Peter. Robert, b. in Scot., 1831, came to Nassagaweya with parents in 1848, cleared the farm which his father took up and later 17 acres, lot 12, con. 11. He was a mason by trade, which he pursued in the district. He m. Catharine McLaren. Issue: Mrs. James Duthie, George, Mrs. Charles Duffield, Peter and James. George on the homestead in Nassagaweya also owns the Puslinch 17 acres. He m. Caroline Caulfield. Issue: Ellen, Robert and James. He is a Presbyterian and a Liberal.
