KNIGHT, Isaac T
., is a son of James Knight, who was b. in Devonshire, Eng., and set. in
Ontario Co., Ont., where he was well known as a Clydesdale horse breeder and
poultry breeder. Isaac T. Knight was b. in Victoria Co., in 1869, and was
brought up and educated in Reach Township, Ontario Co. He has know poultry from
infancy and frequently represented his father at the county fairs, and had the
pleasure, in many instances, of walking off with the first prizes, so that
naturally he knows something about the poultry business. He breeds "Barred
Rocks," "Langshans" and "Blue Andalusians," and is said to be the best breeder
of "Cayuga" ducks on the continent. He also breeds the best "Rouens," "Pekins"
and "Colored Muscovy" ducks. He took first prize at the "Pan American
Exhibition," Buffalo, and "Toronto National," and at the "Ontario Mid-Winter
Fair," in 1905 at Guelph he took twenty-four prizes, and at the Guelph Central
Exhibition, thirty-six prizes. He sells fowl all over Canada and Newfoundland,
and in about one half of the States in the U.S. He m. Frances Hall, of London,
