JAMIESON, William, late of Nichol, was b. in County Antrim, Ire., in 1821, and d. in 1873. He came to Canada in 1841, and purchased the farm of 100 acres on lot 9, con. 5, which he cleared and lived upon until his death, leaving it to his son, Samuel. He was a Presbyterian, and a Conservative. Of a retiring disposition, he never sought office, but was respected by all who knew him. He m. Hannah Glover, who is living, aged 75. Issue: Mrs. D. M. Broadfoot, set. in Nichol; Samuel, George G., William and John.

Samuel Jamieson succeeded to the old homestead, and follows his father's ideas in farming. He feeds a number of cattle for market. His farm is in first class condition, and he is a prosperous, greatly respected citizen. He is a Conservative and a Presbyterian, and is unm.

George G. Jamieson (unm.) resides on his farm, lot 9, con. 4, Nichol, which he purchased. He is engaged in mixed farming, and feeds a large number of cattle for export. He raises some thoroughbred horses, and grade cattle and sheep. He is a prosperous farmer, up-to-date, and much respected by all.
