HUSBAND, CAPT. James G . (d.), b. Devonshire, Eng., 1818, d. Guelph Tp., 1876. He was the son of Peter B. Husband, who served in the Peninsular Wars, and d. in the British service in India. He m. Elizabeth Fewlass, who d. 1874, age 61. He came to Canada in 1836. He owned "Forest House" farm, of 140 acres. Late James G., served in the Rebellion of 1837-8. He was brought up as gentleman, and came to Canada with means, which was supplemented from Eng., from time to time. Issue: Peter, John, Elydia J., Mary E., who m. John C. Crane, and Mrs. John Hayward.
