HOWSE, Thomas , was b. in England, and came to Canada in 1830, set. in Pilkington, on lots 10 and 11, con. 4, where he owned 160 acres. He lived there until his death about 1886. H is a Methodist and a Liberal, and has held the office of School Trustee. He m. Mary Ann Boulding, who is living, aged 74. Issue: John, m. Miss Brown, set. in the North-West; Elizabeth (d.), Mrs. Albert Pike, Victoria B.C.; Mrs. Harry Larter, Guelph Tp; Mrs. Albert Howse in Pilkington; William H., m. Sarah Tuckey, and set. Rainy River Dist.; Jennie (d.), Carrie (d.), Albert E. m. Kate Rudel, set. Guelph, and Ephraim T. Ephraim T. owns a farm of 100 acres in Pilkington on lot 16, con. 3. His farm is in a good state of cultivation, and he has some fine Clydesdale horses. He feeds cattle for export, and gets high prices. He is a Methodist, and in politics a Liberal He m. Nancy Felker. Issue: Earl F., Mary J., and Bella E.
