HAYDEN, Hezekiah
, was b. in Chestershire, Eng., in 1835. He came to Canada in 1844, and set. in
Howick Tp. , where he was a pioneer , and helped to clear the land, and became
a successful farmer. He is a Methodist and a Conservative. He m. Miss Vines,
also of Eng. Issue; Nelson , John, Clark, Oliver V., William J., Mrs. Benjamin
Price, Toronto; and Mrs. W. C. Mills, Toronto.
Nelson, m. Miss Thompson, set. Grey Co.; John m., Miss Kirbyson, set. in Michigan; Clark was b. in Howick, 1870, and previous to coming to Fergus was proprietor of the Maple Leaf Laundry in Palmerston. In 1897 he came to Fergus and became the owner of the Union Bus Line, which he has since operated. He is a Methodist, and a Conservative. He m Jane Pausen, and they one daughter. Oliver V. Hayden was b. in Michigan, 1874, and came to Fergus in 1898, and became the proprietor of the Fergus Steam Laundry, which is doing a fine business.
