FARRELL, Michael (d.), b. Co. Kilkenny, Ire., 1825. He came to Canada in 1846, and set. in Eramosa in 1850, purchasing fifty acres of land, lot 2 con. 3. He m. Margaret Freeman, and of their children five are living, viz.: Mrs. Edward B. Crow, Mary, Elizabeth, Dennis and Sarah. The late Michael Farrell started in life without capital, and by industry and good management accumulated a fine property besides raising and educating his family. He d. in 1882.

Dennis was b. and brought up oil the old Eramosa homestead, which he owns. He carries on mixed farming. The family are members of the Roman Catholic church.
