ELLIS, Thomas W
., was b. in Waterloo Co., and was there raised. He was
educated at the Public Schools and Collegiate Institute. While he is
comparatively a late settler in Minto, coming here in 1887, he has taken a
leading position in the community, of which he has the full confidence and
respect. He is a member of the Methodist church, and takes an active
interest in church work, being Steward and Supt. of the Sabbath School. He m.
Isabella Cochran, dau. of Robert Cochran, in 1890, and purchased the old
Robert Cochran farm of 160 acres, which he has ran successfully ever since.
He is practically a self-made man.
