EGGERT, John , is a son of Chas. Eggert, who was b. Germany, in 1816, and d. in 1901, age 74. He came to Canada in 1855 and settled in Waterloo Co. In 1856, he m. Dorothy Grieve, who is living age 75. He was a German Lutheran, in religion, and a Liberal in politics. Issue: John, the subject of this sketch; Mrs. John Lisso, London; and Mrs. W. Lisso (d.), set. Puslinch.

John was b. in Waterloo Co., 1855., He came to Puslinch in 1891 and set. on 98 acres, lot 3, con. 4, which he owns. In religion he is German Lutheran, and a Liberal in politics. He started in life with out means, working for farmers in the vicinity of Preston, and later in the teaming business in that town. In 1881 he m. Mary Faugh, dau. of Peter Faugh, a pioneer of Waterloo County. Issue: J. W. I. Eggert.
