EDMONSON, Charles (d.), was b. Ireland, in 1834, and d. 1903, age 69. He came to Canada with his parents in 1842, and lived with them until he was 27 years of age, when he started for himself. By his industry and good management he acquired a property that at the time of his death was assessed for $11,000. He never cared for public life. He was on the Board of Managers of the Pres. Church for years, and in politics was a Liberal. In 1867 he m. Sarah Martin, living, age 68. Issue: James (d.), George, in Arthur; John, on the homestead of 100 acres, in Arthur; Mrs. Carstair, in Toronto; Mrs. R. J. Henderson and Mrs. James Henderson, Arthur; and Mary, at home.

George owns and lives upon 150 acres, lot 31, O.S.R., where he carries on mixed farming, making a specialty of thoroughbred Durham cattle. He is a Presbyterian and a Liberal. In 1905 he m. Jane M. Martin.
