EDEN, William
(d.), b. Ireland, 1829; d. 1904, age 76. He came to Canada in
1846. He had been a British Army surgeon, and was kept very busy in the
early days, as medical men were few. At the time of his marriage he had only
25c., and with this small beginning succeeded in accumulating a fine
property. He was a member of the English church and a Conservative. In 1852
he m. Mary Ludlow, who d. 1894, age 58. Issue: William F., Mrs. W. A. Rudd
and Mrs. J. M. Small, in Arthur.
William F. lives upon and owns the homestead of 180 acres, lot 27, con. 1, Arthur. He in. Mary, dau. of the late Thomas Patterson. Issue: Arthur W., Ellen L.
