DREW, James , (d.), was b. in Paisley, Scot. He came to Canada, in 1828, with the McCorkindales, Alexanders, Fergusons, McKerlies, and Campbells, and purchased from the Canada Co. 100 acres, lot 7, con. 2C., on the York road. He was a Presbyterian, and a Liberal. He m. Isabella Porteous, in Scot., who only lived a few years after coming to Canada. Issue: John, William, and Mrs. Donald Ferguson, set. Nassagaweya. John, came with his father in 1828. He m. Jane Logan. Issue: Mrs. Richard Dyson, York road; Jane, d. unm. William, m. Jane Armstrong, who is still living in Guelph.
