DAY, William (d.), was b. Co. Kerry in Ire. in 1821, and d. 1905, age 84. He came to Canada and located at St. John, New Brunswick, where he lived for some time. His father was a policeman in the Old County, and when he became old and feeble his sons in Canada brought him out to Peel Tp., where he d., and was buried in Goldstone. William Day was a very successful man, and when be d. owned 400 acres in a block in Luther Tp. He was very domestic, caring more for family and home than for a public life. He was School Trustee, a Methodist and a Conservative. In 1858 he m. Sarah Boyle, who is living, age 69. Issue: Mrs. Wm. Day, Luther; Mrs. John Anderson, Maryborough; Mrs. Thomas Henry, Damascus, Luther; William S., Luther; Sarah, at home; Mrs. Thos. Smart, and Richard L., Arthur.

William S., owns and lives on lot 12, con. 7, West Luther. He has been School Trustee for one term, and is a Methodist and a Conservative. In 1888 he m. Ellen, sec. dau. of the late John Davenport, Maryborough. Issue: John.

Richard L. was b. 1874, owns and lives on 100 acres, lot 22, con. 1, Arthur. He carries on mixed farming, and is very successful. In 1902 he m. Isabella Robinson. Issue: Myrtle E. and Norman V.
