CUNNINGHAM, Robert
(d.), b. Co. Antrim, Ire., 1828; d.1891, age 63. He came to Canada in 1831
and set. in Nichol. He was a man of
sterling integrity his bond, of whom it was often said that his word was as
good as his good business ability and quick to understand, be used to
advantage the opportunities that offered. In religion be was a Presbyterian,
and in Politics a Conservative. He m. Bella Chambers. Issue: Mrs. James
Orr, Luther; Catherine (d.), John (d.), Mrs. Wm. Faskin, Robert and James,
set. in Nichol. Robert set. in Pilkington, and owns 150 acres, cons. 1 and
2, where he carries on mixed farming. He m. Agnes Maitland. Issue:
Isabella, and Eva (d.).
