COLCLOUGH, Samuel , was b. Queen's Co., Ire., 1814, and came in 1833 to Canada; and resided four years at Burford, after which he came to West Garafraxa and purchased and cleared the homestead of 160 acres, lot 19, con. 1, where he d. in 1895. He m. Anne Forster, who d. in 1905, and both are buried in Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus. Issue: Mrs. Samuel Douglas, Markdale; Mrs. Edward Meredeth (d.), Samuel, set. Grey Co.; Annie (d.), Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mrs. G. Muir (d.), and George.

George set. on the homestead, lot 19, con. 1, where he owns 160 acres, West Garafraxa, and carries on mixed farming. He has erected on the place a large bank barn 66 x 58, and has enlarged the original homestead residence. Mr. Colclough is a Methodist and a Conservative. He m. Jennie Jackson. No issue.
