CAMPBELL, Colin
(d.), was b. Isle Islay, Scot., 1824; came to Canada, 1848, set. Perth Co.,
and in 1854 set. in Arthur Tp., where he purchased 100 acres, lot 15, con. 11,
and lived until his death in 1897. He m. Flora McCarthy, nee Gillies, in
Arthur, who still survives. Issue: Annie, d. 16; Mrs. Neil McLeod, Minto;
Mrs. John Johnson, Arthur and Colin, Jr. Colin, Jr., unm., was raised and
educated in Arthur. When 26 years of age he purchased 100 acres, lot 13, con.
10, Arthur, which he farmed successfully for some years, selling out to
advantage and purchasing 100 acres, lot 25, con. 5, Minto, where he removed in
1904.
