BROWN, William (d.). The late William Brown, of Peel, was b. in Canada, and came from Brampton to Peel, settling near Goldstone, on lot 15, con. 10. He is a Methodist, and a Liberal in politics, and held the offices of Councillor and School Trustee for a number of years. He d. in 1890 at the age of 53. He m. Hannah Parker, who d. in 1904, age 68. Issue: William, Esther A., George T., and Jane A.

William owns 60 acres on lot 20, conc. 12, where he carries on mixed farming. He is a very illustrious man, and in addition to his farming operations, owns a threshing outfit and chopping mill. He has the reputation of being one of the best threshers in his section, and receives a large patronage. Mr. Brown is a Methodist and a Liberal. He m. Catherine Track. Issue: William C. (d.), Violet May (d.), Levi Matthew (d.), Melvin E., in the N.W.; Ezra B. and Cecil A. and Dinah R., at home.
Ester A., dau. of the late William Brown m. Matthew Rudd, and set. in Eramosa; George T. m. Eliza Field, and is a tinsmith in the United States; Jane A. is a dressmaker in Hamilton.
