BOULDING, Stephen is a son of the late Charles Boulding who came to Canada in 1822, settling Guelph Tp. and later in Pilkington.

Stephen was b. in the city of Guelph in 1841, and lived with his father until 24 years of age. He started in Guelph on 50 acres, which he rented, and remained there for some years, when he bought 50 acres in Nichol, which he traded for 200 acres in W. Luther. The land at that time was all bush and unimproved, with scarcely a road into the place, and no buildings. At present, in the quality of soil and its appointments it is one of the finest farms in the township, being assessed for $10,000. Mr. Boulding carries on mixed farming with the best of stock in grade cattle, and especially Clydesdale horses. He has been Coucillor three years, and School Trustee three terms. He is held in the highest esteem, and is justly proud of the fact that he has never been sued in his life. He is a member of the English Church and a Conservative. In 1865 he m. Elizabeth Clements. Issue: John C., Herbert, at home, Mrs. John Drewary, Mrs. James Drewary, and Hattie at home.

John C. lives upon and owns 100 acres, lot 9, con. 1, W. Luther, where he successfully carries on mixed farming. He is a Methodist and a Conservative. He m. Elizabeth Drury. Issue: Grace, Jennie and Charles.
