BOSOMWORTH, Christopher
. The late Christopher Bosomworth, of Pilkington, was born in
Yorkshire,
England in 1821, and died in 1895, at the age of 84. He came to Canada in
1843, settling first in Halton Co. and two years later in Pilkington, on Lot
9, Concession A. He was a Methodist and a Liberal. He held the offices of
License Inspector and School Trustee. He m. Jane Sharp, who died in
1898, age 75. Issue: Mrs. David Ritchie, Elora; Robert (d.); Mrs. Henry
Thistlewait, settled in Stayner and William.
William owns the 100 acres on Lot 9, Concession A,. and also purchased and owns 95 acres of Lot 2, Concession 2, east of the Grand River. He feeds cattle for shipping. He is very much respected and is considered an up-to-date farmer. He m. Mary Davidson Clark. Issue: Mabel, Robert A., May and Hugh, at home and William G. and Dederick, in the North-West.
