BARRACK, James , b. Aberdeen, Scot., 1847. He is the son of William Barrack and Margaret Chapman his wife. He was the only member of his family to come to Canada in 1872 and lived in Ancaster for three years. He then moved to East Garafraxa, and in 1886, set. in West Garafraxa. He afterwards went to Nichol, and lived for some years, returning to West Garafraxa to the farm, lot 3, con. 4, which he has purchased and now occupies. He carries on mixed farming and raises all kinds of stock for market. He has a fine property of 125 acres, with a bank barn, and is rated by the neighbours as one of the prosperous farmers of the district. He is a Presbyterian and a Liberal. He m. Susana Mill.
