ANDERSON, Thomas, Sr.
(d.). This respected Guelph Tp. Pioneer was b. in
Fifeshire, Scot., in 1772, where he was raised. He m. Margaret Kidd. They
came to Guelph Tp. With their family in 1832, and set. on lot 16, conc. 1 B.,
where he purchased 100 acres at #3 per acre. Two of three years later he
purchased 50 additional acres at $6 per acre. He cleared these farms with
the help of his sons, there died in 1869, age 87 years, while his wife d. one
week later at the age of 78 years. Issue: Thomas, Jr., b. 1816; John, b.
1817; David, b. 1819; Mrs. W
