AGAR, Thomas , b. Kilkenny Co., Ire.; d. at the age of 35. He came to Canada with hisparents in 1849, and set. at Smith's Falls. He was foreman on the Kingston andOttawa R.R. when it was building. He belonged to the Eng. Church, and inpolitics was a strong Conservative. Issue: Mrs. Matthew Warren, Man.; Mrs.Robert Howie, N.S.; Charles and three children d. in infancy.

Charles was b. in Smith's Falls in 1855. In 1875 he cameto Maryborough Tp. andrented 100 acres, the east half of lot 3, con. 10, from the Rev. Robert Godfreyof Toronto. He cleared it and has put all of the improvements on it. He raisesfirst class horses, securing many prizes at local fairs, and also makes aspecialty of fancy poultry of various breeds, with which he is very successfulat fairs. He has a local reputation as a horse trainer and breaker. Mr. Agarlives on a rented place, but in 1902 bought 100 acres, the east half of lot 5,con. 11, which his son works. He has been School Trustee for the last fouryears, also Trustee of Bethesda Meth. church. In politics he is a strongConservative. He m. Ann Warren of Waterloo Tp. Issue: Charles, John, WilliamM., Benjamin, Margaret J., school teacher at Keldon, Dufferin Co., Johanna, athome; Martha. Three older children d. in infancy.

Charles works the 100 acres, east half of lot 3, con. 9,belonging to hisfather. He m. Maude Salter of Wallace Tp. Issue: Charles, Eugene.
