to the position of warden of the United Counties during that time. It is said of him that no more capable or popular official ever occupied these important positions. Mr. Clark was instrumental in forming the Martintown Farmers' Club, of which he is now President. This club has a large membership and deals with many questions vital to the welfare of the community. Mr. Clark's father was John Clark, and his mother's maiden name Catherine Cline. He married Christie McMartin, and is the father of two sons and two daughters. He is a Presbyterian in religion, an Independent in politics and of Scotch descent. Mr. Clark is generally recognized as one of the substantial and progressive farmers of Glengarry. |
