MCDONALD / SANDS I am looking for a set of SANDS sisters who immigrated to Canada in 1881 from Co. Antrim, N. Ireland. The family stayed in Simcoe County, all but Elizabeth ( Lizzie ) SANDS (b. abt. 1866) who married Christopher MCDONALD in 1883. Their daughter Rose was born in Bruce Mines, Algoma District in 1889. The surname has been consistently spelled MCDONALD, but may also appear as MACDONALD. Lisa Rance airkarat@rogers.com

WILLOUGHAN My query is in regards to my grandfather's family who lived in White River. Alexander Hiram Patton (b. 14 Jan 1869) and Jessie A. (Paxton) Patton (b. 11 Oct 1870). They had 6 children: Gladys May (m. Peter Moore), Luella Pearl ( m. Roy Hughes), Edna Jane (m. Wilfrid Charbonneau), John A., James, & Nellie (m. James Willoughan).

John Hughes (b. 1856) and Elizbeth A. (Worrell) Hughes (b. 1 Jan 1869). They had 5 children: Alice Harriet, Elsie Elizabeth (m. Christopher James), Essex (m. Gladys Dick), Clifford (m. Christina), & Roy Homer (Luella Pearl Patton).

Roy and Luella Pearl were my great-grandparents. They were both killed in a car accident in 1953. After the accident my grandfather lost touch with the family in Canada.

I am most interested in finding out more about Nellie & James Willoughan and their two daughters: Lorna and Mavis. I have several pictures of Nellie, James and the girls. Lorna was born about 1930 and from the pictures I believe that Lorna is only a year or two younger. My grandfather remembers Lorna and Mavis coming to Washington State to visit. They are the only cousins he remembers meeting.

Any information is very much appreciated. Jessica Shaw, 1512 3rd Street, Wenatchee, WA 98801 jshaw1512@hotmail.com
