GABOW--In loving memory of Debbie, June 11, 2005
Fondly loved and deeply mourned
Heart of my heart, I miss you so;
Often, my darling, my tears flow,
Dimming your picture before my eyes,
But never the one in my heart that lies.
The stars seem dim as I whisper low,
My darling daughter, I miss you so.
Lovingly remembered by Mom, Josephine.
Manitoulin Expositor, June 7, 2006

Well, maybe that is true.
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted you.
Lovingly remembered by Martha, Patty-Ann, Lorelei, Faye & Beth

GAMMIE--In loving memory of the greatest Wife, Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Jessie, who passed away May 19, 1999.
Two years have past since that day
When you were so quietly taken away
This month comes back with a lot of regret
It brings back a day we will never forget
You were taken away without saying good-bye
But the memories of you will never die.
No one knows the grief we bear,
When the family meets and you're not there
All the tears we shed, we can wipe away
But the ache and pain in our hearts will always stay.
We miss you, Mom, in so many ways
We miss all the things you used to say
From morning to night of every day
You're never more than a thought away
You always kept things going
No matter how hard it was
And your love for life in general
On the farm, was what it was about
No family will ever have
What you gave to all of us
Your love, your help, your understanding
And all of your caring ways
It really makes it hard for us
When you're not here today.
No words on paper
Will ever say, the feeling we have inside
Because to us you were so special
And very deeply missed.
We love you.
--Leslie, Mary Ellen and Wayne, Evelyn and Lindsay, Linda and George, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

GAMMIE, Jessie--In loving memory of Jessie. The greatest wife, Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother any family could share, who passed away so suddenly May 19, 1999.
In a quiet little graveyard
Not very far away
Lies the most wonderful person
Who we lost five years ago today.
We remember her smile
And her heart of gold
She was the dearest lady
This world could ever hold.
We miss you in so many ways
We miss the things you used to say
There is not a day we don't think of you
We often speak your name.
We have many special memories
And all your love held in our hearts.
Life is very hard without you
It left a wound that never heals
And the ache and pain will always stay
And all the tears we shed, we can wipe away
But your memories they can not take
As you are so special to all of us
And very sadly and deeply missed.

GAMMIE, Jessie--In loving memory of a dear sister, Jessie who passed away five years ago May 19.
My heart still aches with sadness
and secret tears still flow,
For what it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
When family ties are broken
And loved ones have to part
It leaves a wound that never heals,
And a broken heart.
Your end was very sudden
It made me weep and cry
But the saddest part of all
Is we never said goodbye
To those who have loved ones
Treat them with love and care.
For you will never know the heartache
Until they are not there.

GAMMIE JESSIE - May 19,1999
In loving memory of our Dear Mother:
Down the path of many memories,
We gently tread today.
As seven years have passed us,
and life goes on it's way.
We always talk about you,
with our love and sad regret,
As we really dearly love you,
and never will we forget.
Dad is with you now Mom,
God took him to heaven too,
For us you were very special,
What more is there to say,
Except to wish with all our hearts,
That you were here today.
Love you and miss you in every way!
Evelyn, Lindsay, and Family,
Mary Ellen, Wayne, and Family,
Linda, George and Family.

Years that may come cannot sever our loving remembrance of you.
In our hearts your memory lingers
Sweetly, tender and true
There is not a day, dear mom
That we do not think of you.
Please God, forgive a silent tear
A fervent wish our mom was still here.
There are others, yes we know
But she was ours, and we loved her so.
Dear God
Take a message to our mom in Heaven above
Tell her how much we miss her,
And give her all our love.

GAMMIE--In loving memory of our dear, sweet mother and grandma Jessie Gammie, May 19, 1999.
No one heard footsteps of angels drawing near,
That took you from earth to heaven
The one we loved so dear.
We didn't get to say goodbye, perhaps it's just as well
For we could never say goodbye
To the one we loved so well.
To hear your voice, to see you smile, to sit and talk with you a while,
To be together in the same old way, is our fondest wish today.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone
For part of us went with you when God called you home.
Please, dear God, take her a message in heaven up above
Tell her how much we miss her and give her all our love.
Sadly missed and always loved, Evelyn and Lindsay Roszel, Amie, Terry and Chris.

GAMMIE-In loving memory of Leslie Gammie who was called away April 20, 2006.
God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be
So He closed His arms around you
And whispered "come with me."
We watched you suffer
Heard you sigh
And all we could do
Was just stand by.
We hold so many memories
Our card games were so great
And all the farm help that you gave
Will be shared with us all
In so many, many ways.
Country music, family and farming
Was your life's pride and joy
And all of these memories
Will be held in our heart in glory.
But when you're not with us, Dad
Things are not the same.
We spend each day suffering
A whole lot of pain.
Never more than a thought away
Remembering you every day.
No need for words except to say
We love you and miss you every way.
Evelyn and Lindsay Roszel and family, Mary Ellen and Wayne Myers and family, Linda and George Ballantyne and family.
Manitoulin Expositor, April 18, 2007

GAMMIE--In loving memory of our great dad and grandpa Leslie Gammie who passed away from our lives 2 years ago April 20, 2006.
We miss you in so many way
We miss all the things you used to say
And when old times we recall
It's then we miss you most of all.
Farming was your pride and joy
And on your International tractor
Out you would come
With a smile on your face
And so ready to go
To haul hay to the barns with a glow.
Then we would sit and chat
And always play cards
All part of our day
After we had worked hard.
We often think of days gone by
When we were all together
And when times of love are broken
And love ones have to part
It leaves a wound that never heals
In an ever aching heart.
Love you and miss you every day.
Evelyn, Lindsay Roszel, Amie, Terry and Chris

If roses grow in Heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for us
Place them in our mother's arms
And tell her they're from us.
Tell her we love and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
Because remembering her is easy
We do it every day
But there's an ache within our hearts
That will never go away.
Love you, Mum. Val, Dan and grandson Cory. PS - See you in my dreams!
Manitoulin Expositor, April 12, 2006

GARBUTT--In loving memory of a dear mother and grandma, Emma, who passed away April 13, 2005.
If I could make a wish today
And keep it for a while,
I'd want to hold our hand once more,
I'd want to make you smile.
If I could turn back time again
I'd give you back your life,
I'd make each day a happy one
I'd make it free of strife.
I'd fill the air with scents of clover
And put blossoms on the trees,
I'd bathe your face with sunshine
And caress you with a breeze.
I'd say things I should have said
Each and every day,
I'd listen more intensively
To what you had to say.
If I could put in words
The thoughts I have inside,
I'd fill each page with laughter,
A tear or two, and pride.
If I could capture your beauty,
A picture wouldn't do.
I'd gather all the rainbows
And let the sun shine through.
I'd make the violins play softly
The angels sing so sweet.
I'd add some fragrant roses
To make it all complete.
If I could do these things for you,
To show how much I care,
I wouldn't have to do anything...Because you'd already be there.
Love and miss you so much, Val, Danny & Cory.

Death tries to break, but all in vain,

GARBUTT, Marshall--In loving memory of a dear father and grandpa, Marshall, who passed away ten years ago, August 21, 1994.
When somebody dies, a cloud turns into an angel and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to the world and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry.
People disappear, but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up the grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles.
Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime when they're supposed to be sleeping.
They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make the waves splash and tug at the tides.
They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.
And when they sing windsongs, they whisper to us, "Don't miss me too much. The view is nice, and I'm doing just fine."
-Ashley Rice
Love you and miss you always, Val, Dan and Cory.

GENEREUX - In loving memory of my grandma Marie Genereux who passed away December 2, 2010
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose yuo, you did not go alone
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Love, Lisa Marie Genereux.
Manitoulin Expositor, December 15, 2010

GENEREUX-In loving memory of our dear son and brother Todd Genereux who passed away on November 6, 1978.
Angels round the Heavenly throne
Saw a playmate of their own
Gently they opened the gates above,
And took you home to share their love.
To gain sweet Heaven and its joys,
You left behind your little toys
With all the glitter and the parts
And we, were left with our broken hearts
That nothing on this earth can mend,
Until our early life shall end
--Always remembered by mom and dad, Allan, Donna, Jennifer and Heidi

GENEREUX--In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Todd Joseph who passed away on November 6, 1978.
Gone from the earth so swiftly
Just like a flower in bloom
So young, so sweet, so loving
Yet called away so soon
He was a flower too great for earth
Sent here but for a while
God for moment gave him birth
And took him with a smile
Sadly missed and never forgotten
By Dad and mom and Donna, Jennifer, Heidi, Allan and Aaron

You left us so suddenly
We didn't get to say good bye
The heartache that we all felt
Was buried deep inside
The things we feel so dearly
Are the hardest thing to say
But we your family love you
In a very special way
It hurts as much today
As it did 5 years ago
You have mom and dad with you now too.
Sadly missed by your sister Leila, Corly, Wallace, Darlene, Beverley and their families.

GEORGE--In loving of a beloved mother and grandmother who passed away February 17, 1992.
I often lie awake at night,
When the world is fast asleep.
I take a walk down memory lane
With tears upon my cheeks.
The years we had with you
Are worth their weight in gold.
The joy and laughter you gave us
Are mine to have and hold.
Remembering you is easy,
I do it every day.
Missing you is a heartache,
That never goes away.
I hold you close within my heart
And there you will remain,
To walk with me, throughout my life,
Until we meet again.
--Sadly missed by your daughter Angel, Mike Cassandra and Dakota-Rose.
