William

a Blair family tree prepared by Wendy Warwick-Burke;
William
Blair (1779-1858) and Catherine Sym (1789-c1861/71)
were married in the parish of Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland in January 1815, on 18
Feb 1815 (or 02 March 1815). They traveled (to Canada) from Glasgow Scotland

William’s brother); James’ wife and one child; another James, who was
single; Henry Blair, his wife and their two daughters and one son; and another
William, who was single.
All
of these men settled in Lanark County. Henry Blair settled in Bathurst Township
on Concession-6, Lot-1(?), James settled in Bathurst Township on Concession-8,
Lot-2(?), the single James married Elizabeth Andrews in the Presbyterian Church
at Perth and had at least two sons (Robert b.1827) and James (b.1830), the
single William married a woman named Sarah and had a son named William (b.1830).
James and William Blair settled on Concession-4, Lot-4 of Bathurst Township
while they were still bachelors.
