Perth Courier, 9 March, 1900, page 1.	Mrs. Majaury. - An aged inmate of the Perth gaol, Mrs. Esther Majaury died in that institution on the 1st March, in the 85th year of her age. The deceased was born in Ireland, and came to Canada when young. Her maiden name Esther Winkworth. Deceased being infirm and in indigent circumstances, was about three years ago admitted into the gaol here for a home in her latter years and for the past year or so was very infirm. An inquest was held on the remains on Saturday last by Dr. McCallum, of Smith's Falls, the coroner at Perth, Dr. Dwyre, being sick; and the verdict was, deceased came to her death through old age and natural causes. She was buried in Elmwood cemetery.
