Do you know who these people are ?


These pictures were the property of Doris PORTEOUS nee SAUNDERS who in turn received them from her mother, Catherine SAUNDERS nee FERGUSON married to Robert SAUNDERS. There are a lot of EDWARDS, LEWIS and BENNETT relatives associated with the SAUNDERS family, many of whom emigrated up to Renfrew in the 1850s due to the scarcity of land in Beckwith & Montague Townships, Lanark County. Great pictures of three gentlemen. Are they Orange Lodge members? Fancy vests anyway.
SAUNDERS? EDWARDS? BENNETT? PENDERGAST? Taken in the late 1800's early 1900's I would guess.

Relatives moved up there in 1850-60s including LEWIS', EDWARDS, SAUNDERS. Taken in late 1800's I would guess
