This period of 1886-87 is the worst fading I have come across.  It gets better later but these are so bad complete issues have been skipped they were just illegible.

McGrayne of Brockville the well known agent for the Chase Brothers, nurserymen, was united in the bonds of wedlock to Miss Nettie Reid of this town.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. R. L. Stephenson, M.A., Rector of Perth and the newly wedded couple left on the evening train on the bridal tour.

Oxley-McGillivray—Married, on Thursday, 23rd Sept., at St. Andrew’s Church, Perth , by Rev. M. McGillivray, M.A., Mr. J. J. Oxley to Miss Annie McGillivray, both of Perth . 

Elsewhere in the paper:  A large gathering at St. Andrew’s Church, Perth, at the noon hour on Thursday (yesterday) to witness the marriage of Mr. J. J. Oxley of Perth to Miss Annie McGillivray, youngest daughter of Mr. Lauchlin McGillivray, of the Scotch Line.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. Malcolm McGillivray, pastor and the organist Mr. S.W. Wilson added to the joyousness and impressiveness of the occasion by rendering the accustomed “Wedding March” at the entrance of the bride into the church.  At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal pair with friends sat down to a wedding dinner at the residence of the bride’s mother in Perth, after which, amidst the congratulations and farewells of their acquaintances, they took the 2:32 train for Toronto and their wedding trip.

McIntyre, Esq., of the business staff of the Morning Call and Miss Annie Cambourne, daughter of Mr. J. W. Smith.  Mr. W. A. McIntyre, brother of the groom occupied the time honored position of groomsman and Miss Fairchild assisted the bride.  The Rev. A. A. Miskelly, was united in matrimony with Miss Rachel Begley, a young lade held in high esteem in Smith’s Falls where she is widely known.  The ceremony was performed at the parsonage, Jasper, by Rev. Mr. Orser and after spending a short time among friends, the newly married couple returned to Mr. Miskelly’s home in town.  Record
