Byron-McCormack—Married, at St. James Church, Perth, on the 9th November, by the Rev. R. L. Stephenson, A.M., Rector of Perth, Mr. Frank William Byron, Esq., of Toronto, to Elizabeth (McCormack), eldest daughter of the late Mr. Joseph McCormack, Esq., of Port Elmsley.

In the same paper:  Farewell Serenade—On Saturday evening last the Perth Brass Band proceeded in torchlight to the residence of Mrs. McCormack, Drummond Street, and favored the occupants with a delightful serenade in honor of Miss (Elizabeth) McCormack who was early in the following week to be united in wedlock to Mr. (Frank) Byron of Toronto and to take up her residence in that city.  In response to the compliment the Band were called in and treated right hospitably.

In the same paper:  Fashionable Wedding:  On Tuesday forenoon last the interior of St. James Church was the rendezvous of a large assemblage convened to witness the union of one of our most favorite songstresses, Miss Elizabeth McCormack with Mr. Frank William Byron of the firm Messrs. Copp, Clark and Company, wholesale stationers, Toronto.  The church wore an aspect of festivity and gaiety in keeping with the event to be consummated.  Much of the beauty and fashion of Perth put in an appearance; the sacred edifice was jammed with people and the eager faces were often turned expectantly towards the central door of the chapel as the minutes wore on to the appointed hour of the ceremony.  At last the murmur and hum of voices which had gradually intensified suddenly hushed to a stillness as the bride leaning on the arm of an old friend of the family swept up the aisle to the railing of the chancel following her stately attendants.  The bride was dressed on this occasion in a rich mauve colored poplin tastefully, but unobstentiously decorated.  A slender coronet encircled her brown entertwined with a wreath of orange blossoms terminating in a smaller wreath of the same blossoms hanging pendant from her coiffeur behind.  A simple wreath of the same flowers was attached to the wrist band while over all was gracefully thrown the bridal veil.  The bridesmaids, Miss Ida Mowatt and Miss Charlotte Douglas, were faultlessly arranged in pure white with one or more simple decorations most becomingly arranged – each young lady being a type of their respective fonts of beauty bore a pleasing contrast to each other.  The groom now approached followed by his bridal attendants Mr. Robert McLaughlan and Mr. W. J. McCormack and joined his betrothed at the chancel barrier.  The wedding hymn commencing “The Voice That Breathed O’Er Eden” was sung by the choir as the procession moved up the center of the church.  On the conclusion of this hymn the beautiful and impressive service of the Church of England for the solemnation of matrimony was commenced by the Rector R. L. Stephenson.  The 67th Psalm “God be merciful unto us and bless us” was chanted by the choir as were also the “amens” at the end of the prayers.  After the address declaring the duties of man and wife the ceremony of the church was brought to a close.  The guests, however, retired to the home of the bride’s mother to tender their respective congratulations to the happy pair.  A most “recherché” breakfast awaited the company to which the usual justice was done, after which Reverend R. L. Stephenson proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom and prefaced the toast by a very graceful tribute to the charms of the bride.  This was responded to with a few very appropriate words on the part of Mr. Byron.  The usual returning toasts followed in their order.  The newly married pair and their friends, particularly those of the bride, have reason to be gratified by the display of good feelings expressed towards Mrs. Byron on the occasion of her marriage as well as heretofore in anticipation of it.  The array of presents is but a trifling estimate of the feelings towards her.
