Lanark Agricultural Society
, are requested to pay the same to Mr. Robert Boyle, Treasurer, on or

of February, 1836

For convenience of members at a distance, they may pay to the nearest

will have no benefits in the Seed Corn &c, which is intended to get without

Milotte
- After a brief illness from
influenza which developed into pleura-pneumonia, Mr. Frank Milotte died at his
home in
Dalhousie
Township
on Monday, March 5th . The late Mr. Milotte was born in Lanark on the
French Hill nearly 68 years ago and was the only son of Adorater and Sophia
Milotte, who came to Lanark from
Montreal
in 1845. He
attended the
Lanark
Grammar School
as a boy for many years and worked in the woollen mills for Boyd
Caldwell Co. He moved to Dalhousie about 30 years ago where he had engaged in
farming ever since. In 1878 he married Elizabeth Ranger of Darling who
predeceased him in February, 1916. Out of a family of nine five are dead, Eddie,
Arthur, Robert, Joseph, and Matilda.
The surviving members are, Frank, Fred, and William of Lanark, and Sophia, Mrs.
A. Kramer, Champion,
Alberta
, besides
Veronica an adopted daughter. Two sisters also survive Mrs. Melvina Stead and
Mrs. D. Arnoldi of Lanark. The funeral took place at
10:30
Tuesday morning
to the Roman Catholic Church MacDonald's Corners. Funeral mass was celebrated by
Rev. Father Carey of Lanark and
interment made in the cemetery there . The pallbearers were Messrs: Frank, Fred
and William Milotte, Duncan Ferguson, James Warrington and Hugh McDonald.
